Tuesday 30 July [1918]Up at 9. To Port Meadow in the morning and gave dual to Alexander. My engine went to pieces & ended my day's work. Went to lunch with Minchin. Back to the Wing & changed before going to the Group to a Conference. Quite an interesting and useful talk. Back to the Wing. After dinner went to Witney with the C.O. & Henshall to a concert.
