Saturday 21 December [1918]
Down to breakfast at 10. Mary & I went off to London. I went to Cox's & cashed a cheque & then met Mary in Regent St. We bought a nice silver porringer for Bryan's Christening Present. Then we did more shopping and I went off to get seats for a matinee. Called for my breeches at Cooling & Lawrence & then met Mary at Les Gobelins, where we lunched. To the Vaudeville to see "Buzz Buzz" – good in patches. Had some tea at Lyons in the Strand! Bus to Paddington & caught a train home. Yarned & read in the evening.
