Wednesday 9 January [1918]
Up at 9. Bitterly cold – everything frozen. Very busy all day at guns etc. Did not fly myself. Very windy & cloudy. Got a fresh home mail – a pleasant surprise. White, Kennedy, Fenton & I went to dinner at the Rectory & danced after. Back about midnight.
