Wednesday 20 February [1918]
Up at 9.30. Dull & misty in morning. Worked in the flight. We left ground at 1.30 for Balloon Patrol but it was very dull & misty so I "washed out" after 25 minutes. Raining when we landed. Went to the mine at Estree Blanche & had a good hot bath before tea. Raining in evening. Sat by the fire in the mess & read the Bulletin till 11 & then to bed.
