Thursday6 June [1918]
Up at 7.30. Breakfast with Kerrnish & Chatham & then by car to Oxford. Caught the 9.12 to town. Got a room at the Grosvenor. To Bank & cashed a cheque. Off all over the place looking for a bicycle. Met Miss Butler & Margaret at 1.30 at Princes & had lunch. In afternoon went back to Holborn & bought a bike from the Royal Enfield Co. To Gamages & bought an alarm clock etc. Then to Junior A & N & Cooling & Lawrence & back to Hotel & had some tea. Rang up Regent Palace to see if Aunty & the others had arrived but they hadn't. To confession at Westminster. To dinner at the Florence with Riddell, Miss B., & Margaret. Afterwards to the "Bing Boys". Tube to 27 Collingham Place & had some tea & then back to bed.
