getting things from the Q.M. store, which I am always in; never dream of me starving. At 2nd Battn head quarters there is a canteen, where we can buy pretty near anything; we can get plenty of flour, sugar & tea, also condensed milk. Yvonne does not seem to send much news. Am glad the burglar got such a nice welcome from Gin; she could have handled him better only for her skirts; but all the same she gave him more than he expected. If I had only been there with my "Warstick", I would have given him l.
Well as it is now six o'clock, and I am writing by the candle I shall have to close this up. Saw the great "War Lord" (Lord Kitchener) to-day, he was being followed by about fifty Staff Officers, and was I beleive congratulating everyone. This is going to catch the mail so I must end now; it is the last day 13th Nov that the mail closes in time for Christmas in Australia. Might have time to write to Yvonne.
