Dear Mother,

Received your letter of November 27th and am pleased to hear you are a little better than you were when I heard last.

Glad Rodney is back home again and that he beginning to pick himself up again; naturally he would be thin when he returned as he was very thin here.

Thank you for the parcel you have sent, so far I have not received it, but expect it will arrive soon.

Had a letter from Rupe today in which he says he may be coming over shortly but why worry over that; if he hangs out like I have done he'll be right O.  He is going to take her for a weeks spell this week; I suppose he is with her now.

Why I never went over was because
