Dear Mother,

Yesterday I received your ever welcome letter along with one each from Dad, and Yvonne, as well as a few others from outsiders.  Had a letter from Auntie Florrie as well, also one from Auntie Annie; the former has a few pounds waiting for me when I arrive there (10).  In Dads last letter he told me all about it.

Both Auntie Annie and Florrie have given me instructions where to go etc; I think if I go there I will have a pretty royal time.  Your old country is a bonza place, but too much rain, but as we are getting into the winter months one must expect some.  Everything looks loverly, especially all the crops near by; the farmers are cutting up the hay and putting new crops in.
