her personally - its the most amusing experience I have had for some time - shall tell you more when I arrive.
Crowds thronged the wharf at the appearance of our camouflaged lugger who and cheered again & again which was promptly returned by the "Diggers". I was looking forward to some money from you but so far it has not arrived - it went to Fremantle but I daresay it will be returned for we did not disembark there - if it has been returned good Oh. We have only had 10/- since coming aboard so you can see my position.
The notice board says we sail on Saturday at 6.30 for Melbourne & perhaps for Sydney. The men from the Cluny Castle arrived yesterday morning & went overland, the Cluny Castle having her cargo consigned here.
Tons of love & best wishes & health for you & all at home & hoping to see you when I arrive - and don't cry when you see our mystery ship - she has the Tyser line colours.
Your loving son
Rex
