Dear Mother,

Another letter without news of much importance - although as long as you have tidings from me you will be quite satisfied - cannot settle down to writing somehow, hence the lapse between letters.

Mrs. Anderson or Winsome have not had any letters from me for some considerable time and to make matters worse I still keep on getting them, I don't know what they will think of me for carrying on llike that.

Suppose you had​ have heard all about the knock back of Fritz, he will try his funny capers with us, he'll come once too many times soon and he'll pay for every price of ground he attempts to take.

Our divisions have all won
