After I have been here about a week I am putting in for leave to London; to-morrow I am getting a pass for Wareham & Districts which will allow me to go anywhere round here; tray bon for now.

Every day the Camp band which I may say is about fifty strong plays the (picket) piquet to the station & brings the old one home; they often give
a musical noise to the population.  It makes you think of Manly when they play; the same as we used to do in France, but everthing was that French National Anthem, it used to sound well.

How are your gardens getting along, & has that new dog dug anymore young plants up?  There is a big discussion over the dumb animals over here.

How are you all keeping up down South?
