Rod is still in England according to his last letter, but his time must be near now.  He has had a good innings over in the homeland, its about time he came back.  Its about time I had a letter or some word from Rupe, think so?

Yvonne said she was sending some snaps, the ones I asked for, so far none of these has arrived, shall wait anyhow.  She does not write long letters like she used to; what she sends are good enough for Bob; she must be pushed for time.

Well Mother there is very little news to tell you in letters, the papers tell you all.  Good bye and good luck until I write again.  With heaps of love and good wishes from

Yours sincerely
Rex

P.S. I had a glorious birthday, but not half as good as last year.
