Rod has been out of hospital for furlough, but he did not write to me, I learn't off Rupe. Stayed out at Rupes camp last week end.
It hurts for me to do drills now after such a long spell, August last was my last trying drill.
We have our two shillings worth of Band everyday, but don't get fed like I & we used to only 1 slice of bread for breakfast 1 for dinner & two for tea, but of course with other rations included, but just enough to keep us going; we are never at high tide inside.
Had a letter each from two boy[s] from G.M. & C. (Swaine & Brown) also one from Winsome; it was written in Queensland.
Have heard nothing of Pat; had a letter from Aunt Edie some time ago. Sent another cable for twenty but Rupe put another ten on for himself so all is O. K.
