but all the same the Egyptians, and French can skate as good, or if not better than we can. The same people are on every night so they ought to be able to skate, they can do the two-step, waltz, and some other kind of dance, but they are champions on them. The place where the rink is, looks just like a river with swans gliding up and down its banks; it's open air, and the music, it does one good to just go & look on. Military bands play at the bandstand every night; first they play at the hospitals then they play here. Not like our stands, but better, have twice as much seating accomodation, good chairs at that, and have waiters to call if you might want a drink. We live here a good as the boat, for breakfast we have cocoa, eggs & bacon, dinner we have stew or roast of mutton with vegetables, with pudding (which we never miss) & tea
