Have not heard from Home for a long while, only had two of your letters & some papers;  they have been sent down to the bottom I suppose; but we are lucky to be able to get what we do, considering the number of tin fish about; the navy is doing good work somewhere.  What do you think of Fritz drawing back?

Didn't I say the butchering would be over in September? Suppose it will last a few more months longer now that this has taken place, anyhow we are winning.

How is Mother & Yvonne? Hope you are all O.K. like me.  Am tall & as big as Rupe now, he was surprised.
