think not.  Our battalion had a concert last night, in the Y.M.C.A. tent. It was the aniversary of the day, the first contingent left Sunny Australia, for a land far away, and a land they are still on, and always will be on. Nurses attended it, and said that it was a concert worth going to; something to be proud of. As I was going past No. 2 General Hospital the other day, I though I saw Miss Nowland in her Nurses clothes it was just like her, and was on the verge of speaking to her, when another nurse said, Miss Williams. That ended it. Satisfied.

Will you tell Dad to please send a Daily "Sun" as well as the "Sunday Times", he can put it inside, others come like it. Monday nights I would think the best. The way Dad does them up, they carry very well. We have plenty of time now, as we only drill for two hours a day, from half past eight, till half past ten. Perhaps we do a fatigue on our duty day, which comes every four days. Will ask for a pass to go to a place called "Thermos", a village about six miles away.

Well as I have told you just about all the news, I shall have to close this long (I dont think) letter. With heaps of love to all, from Rex. You will write soon I know, so wont remind you.

I remain
Your Affectionate Son (doing his bit)
Rex
