and after the inspection she also went in (wives & dependents). Our boat had cargo aboard and as soon as we arrived the Agent came alongisde and said he wanted the cargo off at all costs - we our Colonel afterwards said he was asked to get some volunteers to unload the cargo into lighters so that we could proceed on our way - no one would hear of this, the spokesman said if we were quarantined for a reason and we had an infectious disease aboard, we would certainly do it, besides the strike ashore was not quite over.
Our Captain asked if the people ashore had the wind up - he was wild with rage - he also asked for some stores & cigarettes above all. The stores came minus the meat and cigarettes, so the Captain swore at the Agent - all the time boats with stores & water we alongside, the men
