He will write & tell you all the news & is very interesting; he is a dinkum Australian. Enlisted Aug 6th 1914 never off the Peninsular & has only had ten days leave to Blighty since he became a soldier.

Cheer up - hope the tin fish spare them as I don't write so after in case they are doomed. We can hear the guns here that are barking in Flanders. I heard the Messina missing explosion when we were at Wareham.
