crammed inside their stomach. I dont think we are going to be home for our Christmas dinner, but in case I am not home, dont keep it, for I shall have a bigger share next time. It is a great sight going to Cairo from Heliopolis, by tram, but not to be compared with our trip from Port Suez, or from this trip, Heliopolis, Via Cairo to our embarkation Alexandria. Have picked up a few words in French, & Arabic, and better still have caught the Arabs way of beating down the price of anything. Things are cheaper in a way over here in lots of things, but I think on the whole we are in the lead as far as fruit goes. You must ask Mr Swane & Mr Stratton why GM & Co never answered my letter, but will send a p.c.
Well dear Mother as I am in a hurry to catch this mail I will close, for I don't want to miss it.
