our band over to play perhaps Ragtime. Ask Dad he will tell you where we are staying, he knows the track. Saw Mr Beasley, he said he was going to write to you, he said to remember him to you all, as well as Gin too. I met him on side of harbour. We have plenty of swimming, cricket, football etc. Have been to some little villages near by; they are so quaint, old fashioned in every way. One thing that makes you laugh is the way
they plough; woodden ploughs at that. We were paid the other day, so of course everybody must go over to spend it (£2-0-0) now shops have sprung up everywhere. The Government have now got a canteen going, but tis now too late, for the money is spent. The Greeks made piles of money, condensed milk 1/- a tin everything is so terribly dear, no wonder it went. I would like to send you some of their bread, its snifter bread, both brown & white.
