making lately, in fact as much as I want to do. The trenches that the 30th Battalion dug absolutely disgraceful for the sand runs right over them and covers, then we have to dig them out. When we first arrived here we had very little water, but we soon found it out somewhere. I'll alliv always find some anyway. You shall not have any letters again soon, as if we move we shall not be able to write; every week I shall write and you shall get them in a lump, same this end for me. Hope Rupe sends me those photographs of those boats, ask him for any Sydney views of buildings and all, one of the Daily Telegraph if he can. I suppose when I come back Sydney will have changed considerably in the way of buildings, also the North Shore bridge built. Well Mother I have absolutely no news this time so you will have to excuse this small letter also the awful writing as the flies are terrible.
Heaps of love to all and hope to be back for Christmas. You can send parcels again but address to 56th Battalion. Rod is in the battalion also, he & I are O.K. What about my camera.
I remain
Your affectionate Son
Rex
