Dear Mother,
I daresay you are wondering how I am getting on over here, seeing that a few of our fellows are being bowled over everyday.  We are having it pretty quite just now, but Fritz & Co always send our iron rations over regularly; only for those we would be O.K.  After doing two weeks in the firing line we are having a rest a mile or so away from it, but always nice and handy in case anything crops up.

Have had no mail for a few weeks from home, in fact only two from Manly, and I suppose they slipped through somehow.

There are plenty of frays going on everywhere at present; on the Russian front the Russians are always ruskin to victory; the Italians have had a great win also.
