Dear Dad,

Letters from you arrived for me a few days ago, also one for Rod as well as a bundle of papers, but none from Mum.  Expect she has missed the mail as you tipped, through the time altering.  Have had letters from Auntie Florrie and Auntie Annie; thank you for the cash you sent to the former; will be able to have a good time.  The bank advised me of some money also.

Rod is back again; he was in Engd some time, but he has to face the music again.  He has another cold, the same I think as he had at Ismailia, but you need not tell Mother about it. I am O.K.  We are out resting again, but suppose we will have another go shortly.

It is getting colder every day, but so far I have not felt it yet.
