Have had letters almost daily from Rupe and Joss; suppose you know they are engaged to one anaother; she ends up always with, your future sister-in-law; by her letters and Rupes accounts she seems a very nice girl.  Next week I am applying for two days, so as I can go and visit her, he has been asking me to go to her place dozens of times.  When I came over here on leave she never saw me, and when she knew I was over and did not go to see her she went off pop; so am off as soon as possible. 

Rupe gave me her watch to get repaired and made into a wristlet watch; the watch soon went when I had been at it about five minutes also the hand fixed so as they would not slip; could not put the eyelets on for I am not a blacksmiths striker so
