off over here which is the best, so I suppose my mail has been sent there, but I soon sent word & told them where to forward them on to; any how shall soon get some.
Have been to see Rupe, I went yesterday to where he was camped (Codford) and is a rotten camp as compared with this or even Liverpool camp; they say that the last named is a good camp now. Suppose Rupe told you he is engaged to Joss Gee; she seems a very nice girl by her letters, quite different to this Hetty Pavely; the first time I even saw her letters I knew she was a well educated girl & had a broad mind she has travelled a lot & can speak French & German well, also sing like a cricket. She has invited me to come and see her, so next week am off to Birmingham for a few days.
