6th Reinforcements
4th Battalion
Liverpool
May 21st 15.

Dear Mother,

I received your letter, also Dads, which I was expecting from one of you; it cheers a cove up when he gets something to read. The letter that should have reached me when I was in hospital, reached me on the 19th it took four days to find me. Ms Garry's answered my letter to-day, also got one from some people at Mosman.

If you are thinking of coming to the camp, I would advise you not to come up on Sunday afternoon come in the morning, or come early on Saturday afternoon, as the crush is awful. We have been told that we are going to get our uniforms to-morrow, so as soon as I get rigged up a bit, I will get some leave.

We have also got good news; we are going away on the S.S. "Karoola", a fast interstate coaster, Dad knows. Will keep the plates when I come down which will be next week end for a cert. Did you get my funny post card? I've another one to send you.

All the men in camp call me the ringer as I am a good one at those rings on hooks, also a good "bobs" player. Everything  night all the camp have a sing song. There are numerous tents up here now including C.E., R.Cs. Presbyterian

[Text along margin]
Y.M.C.A., Sallies, all kinds of religions but the Salvation Army is most popular. Well as I have got a few more letters to write, I will end this scribble, for there is also a good sing song on now.

Withs One of the men saw Dad on Wednesday night but he was not shure  sure that it was Dad he said that Dad looked at him. Well Mum I will close with heaps of love to all especially you.

I remain
Your affectionate Son
Rex.

Have got some one coming up on Sunday. Tel Gin I will write to-morrow, also Dad. Oh! Was'nt it hot, no I mean cold up here eh! About 2000 below zero.

R.
