Received the book of views O.K., but you evidently never looked when you bought them, as they are as old as me.

Had a good birthday this time but not as good as last year. 

Have you any idea when the war will end?  You are about right in your proph[esy] as it will last that long easilly and that is all.  A Raid was carried out last night; no prisoners were captured as all the huns ran along to their support trenches, but a few helmets were got.
