the place so much spoken of. Some day I daresay I shall have the opportunity of getting there. Rumours fly round that we are to get leave on such and such a date, but they never come off. I have been the longest away, and yet have been the worse off.
One of the men told me a good one to night - he said "all the first" division men, and all the "Anzacs" were leaving for Australia in October, how can we swallow that. At the same time we are having numerous victories everywhere, all the Allies and Bulgaria and Turkey will surely throw in the sponge shortly; where is Germany and Austria then? (Finish).
Well lets talk about something else. Fancy Winn's being burnt out; it was a fine block of buildings to be sure, Government too.
