Your letter arrived a few days ago before eitherof Mothers or Yvonnes, they always do the same. I dont know how it comes about.
Have had a good few letters from Australia lately, but not a patch of twelve months ago; these tin fish are doing a lot of damage. These people are very hard to be made understand the situation; in about three or four weeks time when bread is scarce thats the time all hand will understand; they should have stopped the making of pastry months ago, they leave every thing till the last minute (or a better idea not until the
Kanimbla has left High Street) like Yvonne does. Things are very dear over here. Germany must be in a deplorable state.
Am going off to Wandsworth to see Rod and am only waiting to go with Rupe,
