wish for things sometimes too. You say you received my letter (No. 2) quite safely; did you and mother get one each by the same mail? I think you did, for I sent them to Misses Anderson, Burnsides, Oaks besides. It was the first post after we left Fremantle. We called you remember at Aden, and Port Suez, but no mail went ashore. You kept a piece of streamer too eh! Do you remember that I said I had a few curios to send you?, well someone rooted my pack, and of course took them also, but never mind when I get a chance I'll send some to you at home, also Marjorie. By this mail I should receive another letter of yours. You say in letter that two mails this week, (Tuesday & Saturday) so am waiting for another one. Glad you heard from Rupert, but am sorry to hear that he is going into hospital again, but by the time you get this he'll be out and better. Thanks for conveying message to Joe Swane, but as you often see them both, tell them to write, tell them my addressee. Have my cake at the picnic, for it will get a little stale if you wait for us. Glad to hear from you, to say that it is your last short letter, so dont forget to write large ones. from this size [see image for drawing] to this [see image for drawing]. Have you missed the "Kanimbla" or "Kareela" yet?
