Talk about souvenirs, I've enough to give everybody in Sydney one;  no shells or guns or minerwerfers but little souv's such as watches, daggers, and revolvers, knuckle dusters;  I have enough german money to buy a box of iron crosses.

Rupe is missing all the fun, he is, or was when he wrote last, down at the base, waiting for the boat to go home;  let him go I'll get his and mine together, so long as he gets back to the land O' Plenty.

Our Battalion have had a rough spin but have killed, captured or taken prisoner about five thousand since he started his funny business.  The attacks on Brettoneoux were worse than Glebe Island, I never saw so many dead Huns in all my natural - we took it and ten kilos past it in two hours with a four minute straffe, and only had five casualties in the division.

The Yanks are doing good work too but have a great deal to
