My Dear Sir
I am favoured with your note relation to the completion of James & Samuel Wheeler's Titles.
The "blot" as you term it is not a very serious one, & would have been got rid of years ago but for the omission in Lady Parker's settlements of the power of transferring the Security which exists in Mrs Macarthur & under which her £10000 has been taken off that portion of the Camden Estate in which the Wheeler's land is situated. I expressly directed the insertion of a like power of Transfer & was assured it was in my Sister's Settlement which came in so late as often happens in such matters I believe that I had not time for careful perusal & for some years supposed it to contain this provision.
The settlement is £300 a year during the lives of Sir Henry & Lady Parker redeemable at the death of the survivor by payment of £3000. In case of default each portion of the 5000 acres is liable I think only for it's own proportionate then. The annual payments at Camden Township alone considerably exceed the £300 a year, & only a part of the Wheeler's land
