Camden, Octr 1st, 1823

Sir,

Having observed in the Gazette of last week a notice that proposals would be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office for the lease of portions of the Government Reserve to the South of the Nepean and the North of the Grants I possess in the district of Camden, I trust I shall stand excused for taking the liberty to remind your Excellency of the order given by the Earl Bathurst, to put me in possession of Five Thousand Acres of the tract now actualized to be disposed of.  I would also entreat to recal to your Excellency's recollection, that His Lordship has been pleased to order the grant of Five Thousand Acres shall be measured as near as possible to my original grant, which is that of Camden, "that I may be enabled to accomplish the desirable
