send down Lamb or Dick tomorrow, so as to arrive by 10 oclock at night. It is said the Ship will positively sail on thursday. I shall send John the detail of all the conversations &c.

I never saw any one more annoyed than the Govrs Staff - Ovens nearly wept with vexation. Poor little Fennell appeared to be quite astounded. Bowman cannot come up this week. Mary is writing to our Mother.  Col. Balfour desires me to say he has heard of two Brick layers & will send one immediately. The other is in Hospital.  You will of course send them back if they are not good workmen.  Have the goodness to send back Oxley's letter.  I hope you will
