Copy of Letter to Lord Bathurst respecting Ld Camden's promise

Octr 8th 1821.

[Main body of letter]

Inner Temple, October 8th 1821

My Lord

I had the Honor of submitting to your Lordship, last year, a claim I was instructed to prefer, on behalf of my Father, for a Grant of part of the Cow Pastures, in New South Wales, and to which I was led to request your Lordship's attention, in consequence of information that His Majesty's Government had been solicited to authorize the distribution of these, amongst other unoccupied Lands. But Mr Goulburn having intimated to me that it would be desirable to wait for the return of the Commissioner of Inquiry, I forbore to trouble your Lordship with a particular detail of the circumstances out of which this claim has arisen, and should still feel reluctant to do so, if the presence of Mr Bigge did not now afford the most satisfactory means of estimating the utility of the

plans

The Earl Bathurst, K.G.
