Notwithstanding your Excellency was pleased to give orders, more than three weeks since, to the Colonial Secretary to inform me of your instructions to comply with the Earl Bathurst's commands (contained in a Dispatch from his Lordship received per the Sir Godfrey Webster on the 17th Ultimo) by putting me in immediate possession of the 10700 acres of reserved land at Cawdor, I beg leave to represent that I have hitherto received no communication, to that effect, from Major Goulburn.
As the Ocean is now on the eve of sailing for England, I hope you will pardon my respectfully entreating your Excellency's attention to this long protracted affair feeling assured of your concurrence in the propriety of its
