Notwithstanding your Excellency was pleased to give orders, more than three weeks since, to the Colonial Secretary to inform me officially of your intention to comply with the Earl Bathurst's commands, contained in a Dispatch received per the Sir Godfrey Webster by putting me in immediate possession of the 10700 acres of reserved Govt. land at Cawdor, I beg to represent that I have hitherto received no communication, from Major Goulburn. to that effect,
As the Ocean is now on the eve of sailing for England, I take the leave respectfully to solicit your attention to this long pending affair and
