Parramatta
Oct 31 1825

I do myself the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the altered Bond in which I do not now see anything objectionable. I beg leave however, to acquaint you that in compliance with a demand made by the Colonial Secretary, I remitted to that Officer on the 21stĀ  of SeptĀ 1824 an order on the Bank for Eleven hundred and Forty Dollars - in payment of the first instalment of the sum I had agreed to pay for the Land at Camden. That agreement having been set aside, and conditions of the Bond substituted, I am entitled to request the return of the amount I have stated; on the receipt of the money, I will immediately, and do myself the honor to visit upon you to execute the Bond, and will deliver in exchange for the Grants

[In pencil] to Colonial Treasurer
