6 Decr 1823

Sir,

In reply to your letter of the ninth of last October, I am directed to have the Honor to acquaint you that the Governor has no objection to lease to yourself and your two sons, on the terms of the notice of the 24th of last September, the whole of the Government reserve to the South of the Nepean, and to the North of your actual grants: reserving however for public purposes a tract around Cawdor of the 5 thousand Acres, and another of equal area extending from the neighbourhood of the ford at Mr Hassal's to the north west angle of West Camden.

On your notifying to this office your assent to the above proposal, a surveyor will be dispatched to designate the boundaries of the Lands to be reserved; when the necessary leases for the residue will be executed forthwith.

I have the honor to be
Sir,
Your Obedient Servant
