Germany, which provision was questioned by Australian Government. However, as the whole of the German residents at Friedrich Wilhelmshafen surrendered and took the oath of neutrality, and the 4 Officials will be engaged, the Admiral's message did not affect the position in any way as none of the Officials required to be deported.
The Administrator still sees no reason for thinking the provision referred to was an unwise one, and it forms part of a colemn compact and cannot be altered or varied in any way.
P.M.O. reports the health of the troops on board excellent. Fro 12 midnight to the time of arrival at Wilhelmshafen the ship has sailed 98 nautical miles, making a grand total of 525 miles since leaving Rabaul. On the return journey from Friedrich Wilhelmshafen the ship sailed 72 nautical miles up to 12 midnight.
