AUSTRALIAN NAVAL AND MILITARY EXPEDITION
Administration Order No. 2.

(1)   The Brigadier Commanding has much pleasure in announcing that very satisfactory articles of capitulation have this day been signed by himself and Herr Haber, Acting Governor of German New Guinea, by which the latter has handed over administration of German New Guinea to the Brigadier, acting on behalf of His Majesty the King.

(2)   Hostilities have now ceased between the British troops and those of the late German Government in the Colony of New Guinea.

(3)   The German white and native Forces now in the field will formally surrender to His Majesty's Troops on Monday 21st instant.
