The organisation of the Force proceeded, and some additional men were attested.
In addition to his duties as Intelligence Officer, Captain Travers was appointed to act as Pay-master, and directed to place himself into communication with the District Pay-master, 2nd Military District, for further instructions, and to obtain the necessary forms, documents, etc. This he did, and arrangements were made to pay all ranks up to and including Monday, 17th instant.
At 4-0 p.m. the whole Force paraded for inspection by the Brigadier, and the District Commandant (Col. Wallack) advised me that he had approved of the list of Officers as submitted and would forward same to Head Quarters, Melbourne, for concurrence and gazettal.
Arrangements with Dean of Sydney, and Rev. Colwell, Moderator Methodist Assemblies, for Church Parades on the following day.
