MONDAY - 7th DECEMBER 1914:-

The "Loringow" left at 11-0 a.m. for Admiralty and Hermit Islands, as mentioned in diary of 5th instant.

The "Meklong" departed at 4-0 p.m. with Lieut. Strassburg, Master of Ship, and Lt. Col. Watson in charge of troops, which expedition is detailed in diary of 6th inst.  Lieut. Holmes, as representative of the Administrator, accompanied the expedition. The "Meklong" will first call at Soraken - plantation belonging to Messrs. Burns, Philp and Coy. and will thence proceed direct to Kieta, returning via Numa Numa, Tirputz and Soraken, bringing back any cargo available.

Letters have been received from Doctors Wick and Kersten, stating that in the cause of humanity they are prepared to carry on their duties at the Hospitals in Rabaul until relieved.

The health of the troops continues satisfactory.
