FRIDAY - 15TH JANUARY '15:
Two wireless messages in Four Figure Hoists, addressed to the "Eastern" were received, relayed from Rabaul, but as Colonel Pethebridge desired Cipher 'R' to be retained at Rabaul, it was necessary to request a repetition of the messages in Slater's Code from Navy Office, Melbourne.
Company Parade was held at 9-30 a.m.
All preparations have been made in connection with disembarkation of Troops to-morrow.
There is a marked improvement in the majority of patients on board.
At midnight the ship had sailed 286 miles - 2,730 miles since leaving Rabaul.
