FRIDAY - 6TH NOVEMBER 1914:

The "Madang" arrived from Cape Lambert at 4-0 a.m., having in tow Mr. Komine's yacht "Namanule" and the salvaged wreck "Colonial Gesellschaft", which was stranded on a reef off Cape Lambert when bringing German Soldiers from Friedrich Wilhelmshafen to Baining.

Mr Jolley reported that one of the laborers on his Plantation had died and 6 others were ill. By the symptoms he was of opinion that dysentry had broken out, and he was therefore proceeding directly to his Plantation. The matter was reported to the P.M.O.

The decision of the Court Martial on No. 788 Pte. F.H. Westbury was announced. The accused was found guilty of stealing and receiving and was sentenced to 14 days field imprisonment with forfeiture of pay.
