SUNDAY - 25TH OCTOBER 1914:
The message to the Minister for Defence, relative to the success of the Expedition sent out under the command of Major F. B. Heritage, and referred to in diary of 23rd October, was despatched and received by Thursday Island.
Church Parade was held at Rabaul and Herbertshohe.
Lieut.-Commander Lampton returned at 2-0 p.m. with the "Madang", having in tow the captured Auxiliary Schooner "Samoa" mentioned in diary of the 23rd October.
The health of the troops continues good.
