SUNDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 1914:

At 12-30 a.m. the following message was received from the Lieut. Governor, Papua:-
"To Administrator: Natives report said to be fairly accurate states 6 European and about 600 Coolie Soldiers at Morobe. Food Supplies said to be short."

At 4-5 a.m. the following message from Administrator to Secretary, Defence, was despatched:-
"Request send "Komet" or earlier Ship 600 lbs Curry Powder and 1,500 felt hats for Troops."

Church parade was held at Rabaul and Herbertshohe.

Health of the Troops satisfactory.
