THURSDAY 19th NOVEMBER 1914

The "Madang" arrived from Pidgeon Island, having in tow salvaged motor boat MI, the property of Captain Rondahl of Kaba Kaul and requisitioned for use of Naval & Military Forces on arrival at New Britain, which was wrecked on a reef near Pidgeon Island on 27th October, '14, whilst proceeding to Cape Gazelle to change the Guard. Salvaged operations were carried out by Captain Komine under contract to the Government.

At 11-0 p.m. the "Siar" left for the Admiralty and Hermit Islands, which expedition is fully detailed in diary of 16th November.

Health of the troops is satisfactory.
