SUNDAY - 27TH DECR. 1914
Church Parade was held at Rabaul and Herbertshohe.
Commander Jackson reports that he has received a wireless signal from the "Fantome", stating that the vessel was unable to get in touch with the "Eastern", being continually jammed by wireless signals of a ship with a pure telefunken note, which was considered to be mot more than 20 miles distant. Commander Jackson dispatched a reply to the "Fantome" from the "Una", without reference to the Administrator, instructing her to intercept the "Eastern" from Nauru, and direct her to return direct to Rabaul without calling at the Admiralty Islands.
The "Matupi" returned from Kaiwieng, and Captain Thorold reports that the "Fantome" had informed him of the jamming of W/T signals by strange ship.
Patients in hospital are progressing as well as can be expected.
