Sydney, 5 February 1828

Sir,

With reference to my letter of 9 November 1826, respecting the Lands at Cawdor; I am now directed by His Excellency, the Governor, to inform you, that as the (20) Twenty Acres therein specified have been selected by the Archdeacon for the Church and School Establishment, and as the building used by the Magistrates, and the Outhouses attached thereto, are no longer required by Government, these will be given up to you, in conformity with the Instructions of the Secretary of State; at the Valuation fixed by the Surveyor General, namely (£242) - Two hundred and forty two pounds Sterling.

Instructions have accordingly been given to the Surveyor General, after communicating with the Magistrates, to put you in possession of the Buildings, by the 30th of next month, or as much sooner as possible, and I am further directed,
